Anyone remember these German aftermarket twin turbo kits that were on the market the first year after the 993 was introduced? They received excellent reviews in the press (no long term testing, natch) and were later offered on a private label basis by Gemballa (I think). Since you never hear about them anymore, I was wondering if the company is still around and if the product still well regarded? Anyone have first hand experience?

Lotec was owned by Kurt Lottershmitt who was into chassis and supsension/bodywork, the mechanical side was dealt with by Pietz. Lotec is no longer around as a company but Pietz operates from the Lotec premises as Turbo Tecnik Pietz (TTP) with his high horsepower conversions that never seem to produce the goods in the road tests (I am thinking of his 600hp 3400lb 993tt which manages 0-125mph in 12 seconds )
