wheel arc guards
Hello people
I had a quick question. I own a 95 993 Carrera s. I needed to know if all the 993s came with stone guard stickers on the rear wheel arcs? Are these body coloured or are they transparent? Are they standard equipment or after market? Is it necessary to have them on or can they be removed? I needed to know because I am having my car resprayed and they have to be removed.
Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't answer your question, but would love to see pics of your car and pics of India!
Please share with us, if you wish, how India is for driving your Porsche? Do you have a local Porsche club? How's the area for spirited street driving, etc?
We have folks posting on this board from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, Scandanavia, US...., but I believe you're the first from India! Absolutely awesome!

They all come with the guards as standard, usually transparent. They can be removed. Would advise to keep stoneguards as these areas are more prone to chips.

There are several threads in the archives.
The guards were standard, but Porsche oem were smaller in early cars (through MY 1995) than MY 1996+. If you buy from Porsche, be sure to get the larger size.
The Porsche plastic is available in clear, white and silver. Obviously, all cars use the clear except for white/silver.
Judging from the abundant stone chips most people collect on their guards, I would replace them.
