Question So Cal PCA Question

Listers,

Looks like my job will be taking me to SoCal in couple of months. I may end up in the Newport Beach area or maybe up in the Beach Cities.

I was looking around the regional websites and I was shocked. Are there NO regions doing DE events? I saw concours, rally, autox, but no DE. What gives? Am I missing something? How do I get track time?

Chicago is an awesome region, we have at least 10 days of DE's every year. I may have to re-think this move if I can't get on the track ;^).

Can any of you locals help me out here?

Thanks,

Jason

The OCR region does organize a DE event once in a while. The POC has a few more club races too. However, the ultimate DE events are organized by TracQuest. Read about it here: http://www.tracquest.com

Hold on there Big Fella, we have lots of track time available, it just isn't through PCA. The Track Club for you is the Porsche Owners Club (POC). Here are the events for the remainder of this year:

July 7 and 8: Buttonwillow (A SCCA Track), 2 day short track series,

July 13 and 14: Thunderhill (NoCal), Time Trials and Cup Races,

August 25 - 26th, Laguna Seca Raceway, Time Trials, Cup Races and Enduro

September 15 and 16: Buttonwillow 100, Time Trials, Cup Races and Enduro,

October 13 and 14, Willow Springs International Raceway, Time Trial and Cup Races,

November 3 and 4, Sears Point, Cup Races Only

November 10 and 11, Streets of Willow, Short Track Series,

November 24 and 25, Las Vegas, Time Trials and Cup Races.

Count the days and imagine that we have had a similar number the first half of the year including a day night four (4) hour Enduro earlier this month, the tribute to Le Mans.
See you at the track!!!!
