Accordian oil filler tube..
As I was adding oil last night, I made a mess not knowing my plastic oil filler tube had a hole on the side of it. I cleaned up the mess as much as I can but need to get a replacement. Anyone know the part number? Should I just take it out (if I can) and use a good 'ole funnel?
Thanks!

Mine distructed in the same manner as Nol's. I asked a friendly Porsche wrench if I should get a new one and his advice was not to-they are more trouble then they are worth. I invested in a 1.99 long neck funnel-no hassle at all.

Loose the accordion tube and get yourself a cab and tube that fits the top of the plastic oil containers. I got a nice cap, that locks closed, with a 10 inch clear plastic tube complete with a plug cap at the end. You can probably find these at any national auto parts outlet. It ended my oil spills for good. Just don't squeeze the oil can and fill too fast.

Wow -- I never realized there was a danger of having the accordian tube disinegrate into my oil tank.
Plus this has a side benefit of losing weight at the rear of the car. This modification must be good for at least 12 HP.

Dudley,
Unless the PO took it out, you should be able to reach into your oil fill neck and pull the accordian filler out. It will look the plastic wire harness tubing you can buy at CompUSA or Radio Shack to help keep your wires tidy.
