I wouldn’t discourage anyone from changing the 911 in their life from 993 to 992. Love my 993, and the 992 may be bigger, but you are constantly reminded it’s a 911. Road noise, flat-6 engine sounds, bobbing front end, big rear end grip powering out of turns, great steering, low but upright driving position, five dials with straight/flat dash (without SC) and little ledge to rest your hand on while playing with the radio, back seat area if you can’t get it all in the frunk, etc.

At age 82, my 993 cabriolet 6 speed is just fine. I would not sell it for anything under $100K. Don't trade for a water wagon. They are not holding value while the air cooled are increasing in value.

Probably because I have a similar garage situation where I have an 81 inch opening that is easier to drive into, but I can’t get out! My solution is waiting until my wife can guide me in. The first pic is before I took the wall down. Test fit if you will!

Correct; passenger side access only in that spot. Long story, but building code changes between original house build and garage addition…and an unreasonable neighbor…resulted in that narrow garage space.
It will leave a drip if not driven for a week or two. Not enough to warrant the pan, but had it around…the 280SL used to be in that spot and it leaks quite a bit.
I decided to list my 993 for sale. Bad time of year, but can’t hurt to put it out there. Can’t say that I am 100% sure that this is the right thing to do, but I know I would get much more use out of a newer 911 that I didn’t care about so much 😀
For those interested, I changed my ad to be a little clearer in my description and will post better pics etc. this evening. Selling price is US$78,750. Duty (if payable) would be a max of $2,244.38 and brokerage is $395. All paperwork for registering the car in your state will be delivered with the car, so there would be no additional costs vs what you would pay if you were buying a US vehicle. My car was originally delivered new in California, so there is no problem re-importing it into the US. I have copies of the previous Texas title and the Texas registration sticker is still on the windshield. Throw that sticker in the trash asap! I live in Texas, hate we have to clutter our windshields with stickers and always envious of places that don’t require stickers.
I agree with you, but left it on in case anyone from the US bought it one day as it helps prove that the car was imported from the US. That is important as any car that was imported from the US into Canada can go back duty free. My car falls into this category.
