Default A very happy Rennsport customer!!!

A while back I decided to have my ecu remapped. Since I have a '97 and have read pretty extensively on the issues that can occur with regard to the OBDII system- I was a bit hesitant. My mechanic suggested he had good experiences with a particular chip tuner. I told him I felt more comfortable with Rennsport but, against my better judgement, I deferred to his experience.

Needless to say, I had a whole lot of problems with the remapped chip: consistent CEL stating misfiring valves, o2 sensor, etc... After a few weeks of this, I decided to send the chip to Steve Weiner (Rennsport).

I know many on this forum have used Steve's services in the past. I would like to add my opinion. I have put a couple hundred miles on the car - with no CEL issues. The car definitely has better throttle response and more power throughout the rpm range. I am a very satisfied customer.
Thanks so much Steve!

Hi Alex:

I'm very pleased that the ECU remap fixed the CEL issues for you and you are happy with the way the car is now performing.

Happy to be of service, anytime.

Please keep me posted on how things go.

I am also a very happy rennsport customer.

I ordered a chip for my '95 and received it in two days! I have done a couple of hundred miles since the installation, my car is noticeably more powerful and the throttle response is better.

Thank you Steve.

No problem Steve.

I have just read so many horror stories about remapping OBDII cars that I think its important to know that certain places are doing it correctly.

Thanks again and I'll be looking forward to sending my tranny off to you to be rebuilt with a set of shorter gears this winter.

Default glad to hear this...

I've got a 97 ECU on the way to Steve right now.... that will eventually be reprogrammed to plug into my 96 (once I decide if I want supercups or not)... always nice to see the positive feedback ahead of time!

Steve,

I saw your very cool quote in one of my British mags this week (Autocar? Evo?). Congratulations on being sourced for your expertise from across the pond!!

OBDII ain't cheap.... going rate just about everywhere is around $995 but after all the research I did, I'd only go with Steve at this point and every time I see another post, I only feel that much better about my decision!
