993 Cab - need suspension advice. Yet another suspension post
Hi gang,
A few months ago, I bought a 1995 Cab from Tim Holt.
Really nice car, 63k miles, well cared for and mostly all original. I have been working on a few things to make it my own.
I'm looking to get a nicer, lower stance, without breaking the bank ( no PSS10's). The car sits on what I believe it to be OEM suspension.
What would you all recommend?
Ps: I searched and read 100's of post but couldn't find an answer, please bare with me.
I put Koni Sport shocks and struts with Eibach Sport Springs in my 96 C2 Cab
. Lowered nicely. Handles like a dream. About $1,500 plus $500 to install. Couldn't be happier
Nice car, congratulations. I have a '95 also and used Bilstein B8 shocks and struts and M033 springs plus all the associated fasteners, lower control arm bushings, strut tower brace and steering rack brace.

Do these items have model numbers you could share?
Hi Brainzito,
Look at your current struts. If the barrels are threaded and the spring perch is not all the way at the bottom of the threading consider lowering the stance with what you have,
The range of height while still allowing for factory alignment settings is between USA height to lowered ROW height -30 from USA height. Here is a chart related to this:

I replaced my car's suspension using jack stands, as a DIY project and then had an alignment done.

Andy. Are you saying if you adjust the collars all the way to the bottom in the area I have circled this will lower the car to it’s lowest setting possible while still being able to get it aligned correctly?

Ok. The further you thread down on those shocks, the lower the car will go. Different shocks have different lowering capabilities when paired with various springs. Example: you cannot go to ROW height on stock shocks without changing the springs.

Hi Gbgastowers,
If you do not have the wrenches to grab the perch height adjusting rings and turn them they can be purchased from Summit Racing. The height can be measured using the factory suspension measuring points shown on the chart I pointed to in my earlier posting in this thread.
Good luck with this,
Andy
