This could be the coolest 911 I have ever seen....
Thoughts on these 'specialty creations' ie Gunther Werks vs Singer? One car forever....

Is it cool? Yes.
Is it 1+ mil cool. Not in my opinion. I would rather have 5 different cars than spend 1 mil on a single 993. Also wrong forum. :-) |
if you are somewhat of a "purist" then you will like the car, but probably not enough to spend over a million on what is basically a hugely expensive kit car built on an OEM base. I hate the ducktail and I hate the interior. to me this speaks of doing a show-off drive once in a while, rest of the time having it sit in your garage while you gloat "damn that is a nice car". some people have way more money than I do.
I'm not a purist so I'll take water-cooled, twin-turbo PDK every day of the week over this and drive it almost every day. that makes me say "damn this a real nice car". |
Agreed. For that money, I'd buy a 991 gt3, 781 spyder rs, a good 993 for an analog, air cooled experience. And keep maybe $400-500k

That chin spoiler would last about 1 driveway entrance in Monterey

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and while I’m sure it’s built to a very, very high standard; regardless of price it really doesn’t do much for me.
Obviously I’m not in the appropriate wealth category for this anyway but when factoring in the proposed price it’s a little hard to believe there’s even a market for this kind of thing.🤷♂️ |
Very, very nice. Other than look at it in your lair what do you do with it?

Some more opinions on GW styling came up a little while ago in this thread;
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...sla-993-a.html If you have a 993 and you’re ok with having it off the road for 6 - 12 months you could spend about $150k and get a very similar engine and interior, but your return-on-investment would be far worse than a new GW car that has collectibility and name-recognition. Curious what the original buyer paid for this, it was surely less than $1M |
I think it's ok. But the Turbo version Tornado is even better looking.
If I had all the money in the world, I doubt I'd buy a restomod. I'd get the special original models of 964 and 993 instead. But in a way these are great achievements. 700 hp manual. This is amazing, absolutely no doubt about it. Imho this is where they got the looks right. https://www.autodevot.com/wp-content...ct-Tornado.jpg |
One of those cars that will be parked in some collection forever.

Beautiful cars, for me to observe other folks' examples as owning one of these is a decision only money can buy, a lot of money!

My guitar gently weeps. |
I guess I should have qualified. If you had a million bucks that you had to spend on a car with the caveat that you were going to drive that car everywhere and to everything without worrying about chips in the carbon fiber or creases on the leather....
