Default Replace headlight washer nozzle?

Guys, this would be the place to ask ...some idiot backed into my '97 C4S and broke the headlight washer nozzle. My question is whether nozzle replacement requires that the bumper cover be removed??? Yes, my bodyshop could probably tell me, but right now I'm detailing the car and replacing the plastic protective film which will be a LOT easier re-apply if the bumper cover is off the car to do the nozzle replacement. Any experience with this repair?
Thanks

Easy enough to do with bumper on. And the PPF is best installed with the bumper on.

There's a little notch in the hole that's at 6 o'clock as you face the washer from the front of the car. The washer nozzle fits into the hole and has a small plastic prong, like half of a molly bolt that slides into the notch and springs back past the lip of the hole. If you can push the washer base far enough toward 12 o'clock and pry it up far enough to insert a tool like a dental pick you could 'unlatch the prong" by pushing it forward towards the center of the nozzle. Of course you don't want to scratch the paint and primer too badly. The other alternative, since the nozzles are only $12 or so, is to drill it out near the prong to release it. You find that it's just shoved into a rubber hose on the other side.
