Default Anyone in CT / NJ / New England with a supercharged or turbo-conversion?

Hey folks,

I'm wondering if there's anyone around Southern Connecticut... going all the way up to S. Vermont, or down to N. New Jersey who runs a SC or a Protomotive turbo conversion on their 993 who wouldn't mind getting together and taking me out for a ride?
I know you guys all think I'm crazy for all the stuff I've been doing to my poor car, but I'm thinking about doing this as well - LOL! This time at least I'm trying to be more patient and do more first-hand research...

Cheers!

There is one at Stratham Porsche on consignment. Saw it in the showroom when I picked a key I had ordered.

Search for Toddster in the forum. He's local, but not sure how active he is on here.

Cosmosmoon,

I don't live near you (Florida) but I have had TPC's Supercharger on my 1996 993 for many years. IMHO, it was the best Bang for the Bucks that I did. It will not out run any of the newer turbos, but it is a hoot to drive. I have driven it on all of the Summit Point tracks, Sebring tracks and a SSCA PDX on the Daytona track. Some years ago I took the car up to 180 mph (speedo max) and still had one thousand rpm to red line. After the SC was installed, I had TPC do a final Dyno and tweak that gave 322 rwhp.

Highly recommended!!!!!

Supercharged Arena Red 993s rolling on Kinesis K28s are the best! 😎

Unfortunately the little red terror is out of commission, about to rebuild the steering rack on her. Happy to answer what i can for you though.

How does the Fister Stage III sound with the supercharger?

Oh you're super-close. I have a niece in Redding and a sister in Bethel, I'm up that way all the time. I'll PM you! If doing the steering yourself and need a hand w. anything I'd be happy to help. My car is going under the knife for "model re-assignment" surgery next week, and I have no idea when I'll get it back, but hopefully it won't be long!

If you want to come all the way down to Exit 2 on the NJTP, I'd be happy to take you out in a Protomotive twin turbo car. 7psi, stock compression, 60k miles on the build. It made 325whp on a low reading Mustang dyno when it was AWD. It is RWD now. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

the fister stage 3 is perfection, you can still here the Super Charger with it before you get too high in the rev range

I had a 993 protomotive TT install on an N/A engine. 330 whp and tq on a mustang drove nicely. Performance was nice but I personally would not go that route. Mine ended up failing due to some improper workmanship. The build was primitive with things I found I would never have accepted if I knew in advance. The I/C was huge and did little to nothing as the design was not the best and so much I can go on that was wrong about it.

I would look into other solutions.

I appreciate the candid info.

Are there other solutions for 993 power-adders?
