oil pressure gauge pegged
The last couple days my oil pressure gauge has been pretty much pegged as high as it will go (i.e., above 5 bar, where a "6" would be if the gauge went that high). I noticed when the car is cold and first started, the gauge initially reads just over 4 bar, then as soon as I get underway goes up over 5 and stays there. So, it's not as simple as a short.
Normally the gauge reads ~2.5 bar at idle, and close to 5 bar at highway speed.
Thoughts? Bad oil pressure sending unit? Anyone had similar problems before?
One other note: the oil was changed at my 30k mile service, and the car just turned 35k miles yesterday.
Thanks in advance....

It's a bad sender. Happened to me now twice. Cheap part but I believe it is about 2 hrs labor. Mine 2nd one is doing it again (works intermittently) and has been for a year. I know I have oil pressure.
