My research threw up the same - so I went for Prekom, partially as they are endorsed by FVD in Europe, and made in Europe, and partially as Prekom only seem to make aftermarket suspension parts for Porsche and Ferrari - and that's it?

If you put your manufacturing reputation into a small area and only two marques, that shows some confidence in your products, with the age of the internet leaving nowhere to hide if things go wrong.

Glad a couple of yrs ago bought motor mounts ( with 130k miles knew they were due), went with C4 ones. Then one day one of them leaked and I had them ready to install.

FYI, Autohaus AZ has Rein ones for $120/ea , think those are the ones I got.

URO only supply the C4 mount after-market, not the hydraulic C2 mount. Visually, to all intents and purposes, the URO version is identical to the Porsche one.

Anyways see the handed nature of my two new mounts --- the little hook at the end / asymmetry makes them handed.

Good grief - I'm so unobservant - I've just been out to look at my originals, and they have the same hooks as yours, clearly to make sure they were installed correctly at the factory.

So the combination of the colored dots, three possibles in all, and the installation hooks, gives us our six part numbers.

I love it when a plan comes together.

I believe the coloured dots were used to simplify installation at the Factory - no need to squint at part numbers just grab the correct colour per side.
Looking at my originals again (as above) it's impossible to install the wrong handed factory mounts (in a C2 at least) - so either you already had non-factory replacements on your car, or you are mistaken!

Like you I failed to notice the hooks on the originals but after pulling them out of the scrap bin they do have them. As I used non-binary C4 mounts it never came up on my checklist. I looked at Prekom before going with the URO but although they list the 993 none of the replacement part numbers match Porsche's:

Like most others they do not make the handed C2 mounts after-market because of their complexity.

I think as we know how many part numbers there are from the factory, and how complicated that makes life for aftermarket sellers, I think we should cut FVD some slack. Are the factory 964 part numbers for the mounts similar?

Clearly some/most of the factory mounts were of a non-complex rubber construction, and Prekom make 65 or 75 Shore versions that fit.

Once I'd seen the quality of the Prekom materials, and the points I made above, I was sold.

....actually, it looks as if they lifted all of the part numbers from Jackal

To be fair they are listing all the parts, not just the mount, in their kit. The 964.375.043.81 part number is for the RS mount so I assume they have RS stiffness - dodged that bullet.

It's a choice, not a bullet.

What I meant was that FVD have erroneously used the factory number for an RS mount on both of the above options - HOWEVER they clearly state the Shore or stiffness of the rubber is different for each option.

The Shore 65 mount is to match the NVH of a factory 'normal' mount, albeit without the clever liquid centre of the original factory C2 mount.

So the Shore 65 mount is the equivalent of the C4 mount (rubber and stiffer) compared to the hydraulic C2?

So the internet suggests.
