Longhood hotrod.

if you buy one already done or build one yourself, a well set up longhood with a torquey motor and sorted gearbox (901 for me) is a truly wonderful experience to compliment your current stable and provide a very different thrill when it’s key is pulled.

a 356a is probably in my future but it won’t be for the thrill of the drive.

This was my feedback as well. Only thing on the 901 is that I constantly have to remind myself to slow down on the shifts. Very different driving experience, still very rewarding.

Well, They do say, buy the best car you can find right? Well one of my crack dealers offered this up and I would have been nuts to pass. This is a fully documented 31k original mile Japanese car. Owned for most of it's life by 1 owner. 1990 C2 with heated sport seats. Pretty rare option. It is pristine top to bottom. Original black paint and it's gloss. The previous owner was nuts about this car and it shows. Well now that I have the 964 C2 and 993 C2 box checked it must be time to add a air cooled turbo.....

That’s awesome. Would love to hear your impressions of each and both.

Thanks man! I am really looking forward to driving the two. Will indeed share my thoughts! This is new territory for me as I was always chasing HP. The magic of the 993 is clear. With these air cooled cars it ain't about speed, it's about going back in time and appreciating a time when a car truly spoke to you. I'm really excited to begin a new chapter in my automotive journey and look to the old days for new fun.

very nice! we practically have twins.

we should get together at an event and take some pics together. my '90 is a 27k mile example with sports in black/black. i'm in plano, so getting together somewhere should be easy.
