Suspension Upgrade
Ordered the lowered suspension kit from Gert with the H&R springs. It should be here by Monday and I plan on having it installed here in Lancaster. Can the alignment be done by just any alignment shop or should I take it to someone who specializes in P-cars. Are there any recommendations for an alignment shop somwhere near Lancaster, possibly the San Fernando Valley.
Thanks
Randy

Especially since you are lowering it, I would use a specialty shop. I called my local P dealer and didn't get a warm fuzzy that they even knew what they were talking about. Sorry, but I wish I was still close enough to the Valley to know who to recommend.

I strongly suggest you make a day out of it and have someone in L.A. do both the install and alignment. There are a few shops who really know what they are doing.

I am definitely having the install done by a long time p-car shop in Lancaster. He has been doing work on my cars for years. I need a recommendation for an alignment shop in the L.A area.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just talked to Darren and will make an appointment with him as soon as I receive the parts, hopefully Monday. I am going to have him do the whole job. So- new suspension for the north-south rumble. Whoo hoo.

Rand,
Not to take anything away from the other shop, but you can also talk to Dave at TRE in N. Hollywood. He's local to you, knows his stuff, and is very generous with his time and expertise. He can do the alignment, or the whole installation if you like. He also comes highly recommended from folks in POC/PCA circles. I don't have his shop number but you can find it on the POC website under technical, I think. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
As for the Rumble, where you meeting up? I'm in Santa Clarita and going to the Ventura meeting spot via hwy 126. PM me if you feel like caravaning.

I would like to meet up with you for the rumble and we can join the group in Ventura. I will PM you so we can establish the details. We will need to know what time the group will be in Ventura. Monday morning I will call Dave at TRE and see what he has to offer. I still have not made a firm commtiment.
