Gentlemen,
I have a '96 993 C2 Coupe and I have noticed that the headliner under the sunroof is just a little loose (only on the right side). Just enough to rub against the leather while retracting back. There is begining to be signs wear where it is rubbing and I want to fix the problem before it either wears a hole or tears.
Any ideas on how I can tighten this area of my headliner?
Thanks,
Jamfish

I've just pulled it back tight and used some double sided tape.
You could also use some slow set super glue as well. Use some small binder clips to hold it in place while it sets and DON'T GET ANY SUPERGLUE ON YOUR FINGERS!!!

Jeff,
Thanks for the quick response. First, the headliner is just a little loose near the rear of the sunroof on the right side. How do get at the top to tighten (tape or glue)? Do you have to remove the entire sunroof?
Thanks again,
Jamfish

Oh, sorry.. My problem was the front of the headliner pulling away. And it sounds like yours is the rear getting loose.
However, since it is one piece, check to see that the front hasn't pulled away. You should be able to pull up a bit of slack via the front.

Can you give a short DIY step by step on how to drop the panel? My sunroof headliner is a bit loose at the back end. TIA
