Default Spare Setup and Tool Kit-1996

Hi All, long time owner, lurker, new member...

Recently found a time warp, low miles (~41K), absolutely un-molested C2 after a long search. Beautiful car, but was missing the tool kit and jack. The apparently unused collapsible spare is there along with a vintage can of Fix a Flat. Luckily I am a pack rat (hoarder??) and had a more recent Porsche compressor, tool kits from my Wife's various Audi's and a Boxster jack and foam carrier which got me safely rolling. After some careful trimming and coarse sanding, the 986 foam piece fits like it should be there BTW.

My question; what would a '96 have for a tool kit and related? Did the compressor, the older suitcase one, fit in the spare wheel w/ the jack and tools behind the front bumper? The owner's manual is vague, doesn't even mention the compressor... Figure someone here must have an original example.

thanks...

Hi Wings,
Q: What would a '96 have for a tool kit and related?
A: See attached

Q: Did the compressor, the older suitcase one, fit in the spare wheel w/ the jack and tools behind the front bumper?
A: I seem to recall it all fits, the compressor in the wheel. It has been a while since I had the original compressor as it becomes non-functional after one or two uses.

As a daily driver here is my tool kit with added items:

Thank you Sir.

I started a thread awhile back to try to document was was original and authentic by years.
Look at this for reference and feel free to add what you find if different.

Here's a link to someone else who's tried documenting the mix of tools by year

I'm sure you can find it elsewhere cheaper but Porsche is reissuing the original toolkits back to the 356 days. Here is the 993 one.

There's some consensus among 993-owners who have had occasion to use the factory jack that it's potentially unsafe and should be used with caution- if at all- except when selling the car. The baseplate is very small. I needed to use it on a minimally slight incline; it was miserable...dangerous. There are other scissors jacks that are better designs, cheap and safer. They may not fit as nicely in the spare wheel well- a worthwhile tradeoff.

Thank you all. I will probably pull together the proper and complete set that should be there, but I am good for the near term. I am actually proud of myself that I was able to pull together essentially a complete kit from items I have acquired over the years, 'just in case'...and in the same corporate family to boot! However, I also can see where having enough crap just lying around to do this may be indicative of other issues

I had a rear tire blowout a few months ago and, literally, found the jack completely unusable. And I've had some experience with numerous different jacks, including jacking up the race appliance at least four times a weekend for 20+ years. The OEM jack is just beyond horrible.
