Very nice indeed! Just out of interest, as I recently picked a 993 over a 964, Boxster or S2000, why are you selling the S2000 and is the 993 a direct replacement for it?

i'm selling the s2000 because the lease is up soon; selling now is a break-even situation. also, i'm much too into cars to keep them for more than 3 years. i need to try other vehicles. the 993 is it's replacement and driven 50 miles everyday. when winter comes, so will a new set of snow tires and wheels. i'm confident the 993 will do well, as the s2000 did. it had winter wheels and tires too.
the s2000 will be missed in a big way. that is a superb roadster worthy of serious consideration when shopping that class. i didn't buy the new one because it didn't seem a whole lot different than the one i had. honda claims big time improvements, as do the auto writers; but it wasn't obvious to me. so i went to the 'similarly' priced 993. i'm still trying to sell the honda and drive it around every now and again. that car is able to quickly remind me why i liked it so much for the last 3 years.

Agreed. It may sound like treason and I don't regret opting for my 993 for a second but it was a tough decision between the S2000 and the P-car. I found the S2000 was great - as much fun as a very big go-kart. That engine is astounding and I got to charge around Thruxton (a UK track) in one last year until the organisers insisted I stopped!
The 993 will cost more in care, especially as a daily driver, but you'll WANT to care for it! An example - I've managed to get a nail in rear tyre that's only 2500 miles old, so that means two costly replacement tyres. D'oh. It could be even more costly if I get the alloys refurbished at the same time...
