I have noticed that my left hand headlight is lower than the right one, and therefore looks dimmer. Does anyone have a good method for getting this aligned correctly?

It is easily user adjustable. The procedure is in the Driver's manual (p.48 in mine)

If you go to www.p-car.com there's a guide on how to clean the inside of the lenses. It is very easy.
