Looking at a C4S which has big reds. Unfortunatley, the laquer is peeling off the calipers. Any ideas as to what caused this? The car has 40k miles and is in good condition otherwise, but the poor condition of the calipers takes away from it.

Any idea how much it would cost to get the calipers repainted/replaced?

I have this same problem on my 96 C4S. I am having the calipers powder-coated speed yellow.
