Hey Portside,
My car has 7mm spacers all around, standard lugs, 100% street with no issues.
You need to your ride height corrected first!

It wont alter any suspension geometry, just change the offset off the wheels slightly.
It not like he's putting 40mm bolt on version on...... Oh wait that was the Factory on early 930's.... .

That’s my NB with 7mm spacers and hollow spoke wheels (8J/10J). I changed to 5mm longer studs to have more threads with Al lugnuts. Not a hard job with the right tools (didn‘t want to hammer them out)…;-)

Dug out those 5mm spacers…been on the shelf since I got the Tramonts built in late 2013. Unknown manufacturer, likely bought from a fellow Rennlister back in the day, since I don’t have any receipt for them.

New are $60 a pair…asking $75 for the set of 4 shipped.

After looking at many pics, I decided on 10 mm rear and 7 mm front for my 991.C4S. If you proceed, don't worry too much about sourcing the spacers themselves and don't overpay for them. But do worry about the 20 new lug bolts you need to buy. The lengths have to be correct, you need 14x1.5 thread, 19mm head (not 17), and the spherical washer has to have a radius of 14 mm, not 13. The correct bolts can be $10 or $12 each from a dealer source. I sourced mine from ECS Tuning. Also be sure to re-torque to 118 lb-ft after 100 miles or so. New bolts will stretch.

DM me if you need more info about the bolts.

FWIW I tried 5mm on the fronts to not have to deal with replacing the lugs and never could tell a difference, except for the 10hp boost.

I have used 7mm spacers on front on all the air cooled 911s I’ve owned but on the rears I only use 7mm spacer on left rear. The right rear typically sticks out further than the left and 7mm on left almost evens it out.

I've noticed that in my car too. Why is that?
