"greenie-weenie emissions air pump"

Is this a technical term from the factory service manuals or something?

Seriously, I am glad to hear you solved it and didn't HAVE to return the car to a 'factory trained technician repair dealer place'

Good Job!

Can any of you fine gents send some of the photos to me, I am having the pedal down no air and pedal up great air, I have to assume by reading all of your posts that it is a Vacuum leak. I also have a rough idele that shakes the car enough to move the visors. Its a 1997 C4S with the vavles already redone for supposed carbo build up, 6K. Any help would be very much appreciated rob@gridme.com for the photos, thanks everyone
