Its cost would be less than that of a fuel cell for a Porsche Type 996 GT3 RS.

And, by the way, this cell was designed to allow the use of a real carbon fiber strut brace, picture attached, one of the very few units that actually does something (most of the multi piece designs have so much flex as to be but minimally useful).

OK, I'll bite: What's the cost of a Porsche Type 996 GT3 RS fuel cell?

('s like pulling teeth!)

Both the cell and the strut brace will be available through IFG Development, Inc., a company that has been formed as a joint venture between certain F1 Engineers, Designers and Manufacturers and others to address the "sportscar" market -- both professional and club racing. Eventually high end parts will be availble for Porsche, BMW, Ferrari and possibly others. Parts will include suspension, transmission, steering, drive assemblies, brakes, engine and body components and will be, depending upon the particular part, made of materials such as titanium, carbon fiber and various steel (300M) and aluminum alloys. Should you wish, I can provide specific examples.

Finally, as to the costs, the fuel cell depending upon options (e.g., wet pumps and catch tank, rollover valve, weight of bladder {i.e., a regular FT 3 bladder might be $1200 to $1500, a lightweight weighing 50% less might be $3500 of the total cost of the cell], etc.), might cost between $5000 and $9000, the strut brace should be less than $1000.
