Question How can I get a Pre-Purchase-Inspection out of state?

I am currently in the hunt for the "perfect" car and have exhausted the local dealers and ads but have found an interesting 98 C2S in Oregon. How can I find a reputable local source to conduct a pre purchase inspection of not only the mechanicals but also the cosmetics?

Have the current owner drive it to Steve Weiner's (Porsche Guru and Rennlist advisor) shop if you can get an appointment. Here is the link to his shop with phone numbers.

Steve's shop is usually booked with racecar jobs.

A better choice may be to go to the following shop.

Stuggart Autotech
Mike Jordan - Owner
503-635-3098

This is a VERY good shop in the Portland area.

Another possibility is to look up the President (or other officer) of the PCA region out there and get recommendations from him/her. I know of people who have done this with great results.

Good luck.
