Default Cobra Misano Anyone?

In keeping with the "seats" theme of late... has anyone tried the Cobra Misano seats in a 993?

I'd love a report or some pics - they seem like a great but expensive option... go NASDAQ, go NASDAQ!

i like them and they fit great with the proper bracket. as you know they're very light; 22 pounds or so. the only downside is that the wait from sube sport was sooooooooooo long to get them. they charged my credit card and nearly 3 months later i got my seats.

i like the look way better than the GT3's .. not as imposing, light, great leather, quasi functional race seats that recline

Very sweet!

How's the lateral support? Are those cloth inserts I see or is it all leather?

I'm a bit of a "widebody" myself - are they a tight fit to your body?

Any more pics - particularly of the backs - trying to decide on the CF look or the silver.

Looks great!

they're all leather and a little snug for me --- i have a 34 waist and a 44 chest. the lateral support is great. first of all the fit for a 993 is perfect ..... they're not overbearing for the interior. also you won't miss the cushy springs of the factory seats. they're surprisingly comfortable.

do they make this in a fat boy category (6' 2" - 235 - 36 waist 48 chest - a bit of the dunlap over the belt - hahaha). I afraid I would need a crowbar to get out of these seats. Does anyone recommend high qaulity leather seats that come in an xl size?

I have the rare factory OEM seats that cost $5K for the pair. IMHO, the Misanos are well worth the money (it used to be $1,200 each but I think they bumped up the price to $1,350 due to high demand). The factory seats look similar but lack the harness pass throughs. Plus the rear is PVC or somthing similar rather than the cool CF. Lastly, those alluminum joints just look so bad ***! Oh, having sat in the Misanos, I think they offer a bit more side thigh support vs. factory sports. If I didn't already have the sports seats, I would get them in a blink.

Wow, I love those Cobras, too!

I need and want the reclining function (for easy access to the back for storage, kids, etc.) and have been searching for a snug and lightweight, but cool-looking seat. OEM sport seats cost a lot and don't seem to offer substantially different functional support than OEM comfort seats (I could be wrong). I saw this pic of the seats in the Ferrari 550 Barchetta a couple weeks ago, which led me to look at the Cobras and the Sparco Milanos as a close approximation, but had never seen the Cobras in a 993 before. Hmmm, really like the Cobras.

Those Cobras are hot!

John, that photo of the Ferrari seats exudes lusciousness; fantastic backlighting.

I think you might want to try the Recaro Pole Positions in leather...
