thanks for all good advice. i will call the local porsche center first thing tomorrow morning and ask them to bleed the brakes (using the bosch hammer). hopefully, the problem will be solved w/o replacing the MC

Right, this excellent forum seems to have spread as far as to Sweden
By the way, I will fly to SF on the 16th of June and stay there until the 20th. I wonder if anyone knows if there are any Porsche club meetings or alike in the area then? It would be great fun to visit a US P-C meeting.
