Default adjusting front bumper?

The lower part of my 993 narrowbody bumper/airdam is in three pieces; the drivers side lower portion isn't sitting quite right on the car, it's popped out a little bit, as if it's in front of the center portion instead of tucked behind it at the seam. How does one go about adjusting that? Does the whole bumper need to be removed to get it back together or can that side piece be loosened and popped back in? I'm preparing to have the clear film installed and want to get it all tightened up first.

TIA,
Vic

Vic,

The "sides" of the bumper cover that you're talking about actually wrap around the lower part of the nose of the car and have the grill slots for the A/C fan.

This piece actually has two or three "male" fingers that slide into slots in the main part of the bumper cover. Pull the forward inner fender liner cover on the drivers side and you'll see how to remove this piece. It kind of swings away from the main bumper cover assy like a door hinge. There are a few screws to remove underneath. There really isn't much to re-align though.

For what it's worth, mine was misaligned the same as your and I could never get it looking right. It was just a lousy fit on the parts. Ended up with a TT bumper cover that is one piece instead.

Adjusting the front bumper is very easy. You have to undo a bunch of fasteners, but, once the panels are off, you can see what needs to be bent up or down to make it all align properly. My lower center section was too far in and required some bending of sheetmetal to lower it down.
