Post my first accident

a small ding in left rear bumper by tiny rear ender. My mechanic saw it and said the body shop will need to replace entire bumper, about 1500 bucks. Where is best body shop in So. Bay/LA area thanks guys

Deshler Collision Repair in the city of Orange. They do ding repairs on Mondays, and can airbrush small nicks. See Tim Deshler, the owner 714 998 9256. I know a lot of picky Porsche folks who come here.

I am going in for some ding work in a couple of weeks.

Question

Since the bumper cover is made of some sort of plastic or polyurathane, is it possible to do localized and spot repairs? It seems each time
this topic is addressed, the solution is a $1,500 bumper cover replacement. Is this accurate? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
