The view and parking is great and its a whos who of motorsports... Met a great number of super cool people over the four day event

I’m flying into LA Wednesday, and driving up from there on Thursday morning. A couple buddies shipped their GT cars, and I’ll make do with a rental sports/P car of some kind. We’re driving back down after the weekend to fly back east from LA as well.

PCH is still closed so we’re planning the alternate route now, and it looks like it could be just as exciting, if not more. Will be sure to find some interesting LA canyon roads before breakfast, head north along the coast until Harmony and then wind our way from there. Plan on a late afternoon/early evening arrival into Monterey after some excursions and stops.

It will be great to meet you all over the several days we’re there. I’m sure you guys saw, the app is released and has some cool functions like creating your own schedule of events. This is going to be awesome!

Sounds like a great trip plan! I'll be leaving Bakersfield just after noon on Thursday and plan to head over to Paso and then up the 101. We want to get there by early dinner to relax and get a great night's rest for Friday. We are staying in Salinas.

My 20yr old son will be with me and we are both really excited for our first RR! When we check out on Sunday, we plan a more scenic drive back down via 101 > 146 > 25 > 198 > 33 > 46 > 5.

Yes, these are the roads we plan to play on as well. Haven’t decided if we’re going to do them on the way up, or back down. Either way, it will be mid week. Thursday just may be a day to shoot up 101 because of our time spent exploring LA roads. Though we are very early risers normally and have east coast circadian rhythm helping us.

I'm kinda lucky that i already live in San Jose.

My daughter and I will be driving down on the Saturday morning for the day.... I don't think she realizes yet how early that will be!!
