I used a Targa Sunshade button in place of a blank in the bottom center console. I took an OE wire-harness connection and made a pigtail to my remote. It all fits under the console and looks factory IMO. Also easy to access and unplug if my garage remote needs to be changed.

I installed a small push button in the divider between the front storage area of the door bins and wired it to the remote transmitter, velcro’d to the front area of the armrest storage area.
I used small momentary contact push switch that fits in a 1/4” hole. It is a simple job to open most garage remote transmitters and solder a wire to the circuit board.
Visible only to me and easy to access with zero fuss.
I’ve done this installation on most of the 911s I’ve had over the decades. I did a similar installation in my 986 in the compartment under the radio, mounting the small push button in the CD storage unit facia that is under the radio in the center console and locating the remote inside the console.

This - easy DIY and super convenient:

this is what i have now. never an opener in the cars and you can have one on every set of keys. just program them to my wall mount opener.

Nice. Much smaller than my keychain remote. Can you tell me where you bought it?

unfortunately, the openers are currently out of stock currently. another victim of supply chain issues, i would assume.
