Steve,

Are we still SOL on the '96 DME's? Is the alternative still to get a '97 DME and reprogram the immobilizer?

Hi Viken:

Sorry to tell you that as of now, the only way to "chip" the '96 993's is to either install the later version of the DME (97-98) that IS chippable or have the Unichip installed.

We are hoping to find the time to continue development of some options for these ECU's that will enable them to be addressed and reprogrammed.
