In my quest for perfect supple leather full power seats for my 993, I had one company ask me if I wanted mint condition 996 seats. They were unable to tell me what modifications would be necessary to fit them in a 993. Can anyone tell me if 996 seats would fit in a 993, what modifications would it take, and would the mods be easily reverseable if I were to put them in?

They won't fit without custom bracketry fabrication. I don't know anyone who has done it.

Actually, I gave them a whole shopping list of things I wanted, including the 993 seats, but we never were able to conclude any business. After 6 weeks of waiting I found most of the items elsewhere, with a final phone message that I should probably look somewhere else for the seats. Come to think of it, a guy from Road & Race wasn't happy with me when he found out I actually had the nerve to call as many different companies as I could find in my quest for seats. Hmmmm........two different companies pissed at me? Maybe it IS me afterall!
