Interesting Speedster build
member here?
Without going deep into the weeds on this one, to each his/her own…all that invested, and the motor/compartment is untouched. Let’s start with the need for a Padkeeper… The builder does some over the top creations for sure, I remember seeing a lot of Gemballa ish looking builds, unsure of the quality of their creations. BAT has been bringing some crazy $$ on desirable 911’s lately, not sure if the owner will get his “return on investment “ on this one. and…the donor(96 cab with less than 30k miles) was appraised at $88k in 2018. anyway, interested in your thoughts. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...er-conversion/ |
This car is wrapped white apparently. Looks decent for a "Wicked" build. Interested to see what it hammers for.

Ah…… NO and NO

I'd consider it if the Yin and Yang theme was muted some and those stretched tires were replaced.

Not a fan of the stick-ons and bolt-ons, but as a speedster, I like the shape!

The idea of a speedster or spider is a tiny light car, not a 1.5 tons monster .....
IMHO only |
Looks like all the fail is cosmetics. If the car is built right you could have a nice one.

I have seen the red Speedster conversion from here a couple times in person, it is glorious, this one is missing a few pieces.

What about safety? The windshield frame was replaced? I would worry about this. Also I'm no expert in wheel offset, but those rear wheels are sure sticking out a lot. What advantage does the speedster clam shell provide vs a stock cab in terms of weight? Or is purely cosmetic?
I would be embarrassed driving this thing. |
I went back in the archives ... not the same car.
