Default 1995 993 C4 - replacement speakers

Hi folks - I have the stock speakers in my recently purchased 1995 993 C4 and want to replace them with a modern set that does not require any cutting, changes to the stock look. Is that possible? Is there an option out there to do that?

Also, any feedback on what stereo to replace the stock cassette player with would also be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance and apologies if this is not the right place to add this post.

Thank you

in my 98 c2s, stock speakers were all deteriorated and buzzing/not working properly. I had them all replaced with focal k2 components. they all fit in the existing hi fi locations.

@Narbeh991, could you share exactly what the Focal units were? I keep hearing descrepensies, it good to know you successfully replaced the old speakers without any mods. I too have the HiFi option.

TIA

I have accomplished such in my 1988 911 Coupe and with my 1996 993 C4S (hi-fi opt) using Focal PolyKevlar Drivers and Crossovers model# 165 KR. Suggest you contact Rod at CarAudioInnovations.com. Rod is the guy for Porsche's.

here are the part numbers. It’s the higher end focal speakers. Also did a match 10 amp with a built in DSP so my audio guy can tune it. I’m going back tomorrow. He has a fancy mic setup that listens to each channel for lows and highs and digitally tunes for optimum sound quality. He works on competition grade audio systems. Not having and subs in the 993 limits how good the sound can be but anything is better than stock. Happy to provide feedback.

looks good. We hid the crossovers behind the rear seats in my install. Came out very clean. And we used all factory mounts and screens. Looks oem + how it should be.

If you wanted to keep OEM speakers..........You can "re-cone" your OEM speakers for about $25-50 each. I did 4 of them in my cab when they deteriorated motivated by fact that OEM speakers went up in price from originally approx. $ 28 each to over $200 each......I searched the web in my area for audio speaker repair shops and was able to locate several......

Since installing Fister Stage IIs, I rarely listen to the stereo.

Here are two photographs that I had of the interior and the amp install. Can furnish more if needed including the subs. From a sonic standpoint, I purposely eliminated the rear deck speakers and only use the door speakers and two subs. This is both my 911's and they sound great. In fact, certain material will image with vocals coming from just under the rear view mirror.
