If you could get all the complementary parts (suspension, clutch, motor mounts), you owe it to yourself and to everybody on Rennlist.

This could be one of the ultimate unique machines in the world, definitely cover shot material. Turbo Targa or vice versa.

Hell yeah!

You should spare the fine ruins of your country the agony of trembling to the sounds of a wailing TT, and ship it to me for a good price.

I can't see the narrowbody along being enough of a justification for the expense associated with building a hybrid. By the time you're done, you'll have spent as much as it would have cost to buy a factory 993TT coupe, but you'll only have a hybrid car that will have maybe half-2/3rds of the resale value of a factory 993TT coupe. (I guess the other justification is the hybrid will have 2-wheel drive, verses the factory TT with 4-wheel drive - which some may view as a plus).

However, building something that the factory never built like a 993 TT cab or targa is, I think, completely justifiable. When the motor in my car goes to the great junkyard in the sky, I plan to put in either a 964-based 3.6 single turbo motor or a 993 motor.

As for safety, if you're going to track it, put in a roll bar/cage.

Stephen at Imagine Auto (http://www.imagineauto.com) should be able to answer your questions about motor mounts and transmission capability.
