Question Tire sizes AGAIN!!!

Yes I have done a search. Ordering tires in the morning. I have a 96 C2 w/ 17" wheels. For those of you who increased front tire size on &' wide wheels from 205/50 to 225/45 are you still in favor of that choice. I just autoX'ed for the first time yesterday and believe that I will be doing more in the future. DE's can't be far behind! I will also "enhancing" the suspension w/ Gert's ROW M030 w/ Bilstein HD. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

I did the combination of swapping to R compound and the 225 fronts for track events, plus road driving. I find better turn in (of course the R compound helps too), more road feel but I did change tires (obviously) and a small thing but, they do bulge a little, just a little.

Worth the swap though.

Thanks Peanut and Viken

I went w/ the 225/45/yr17's up front. Ordered Bridgestone S03's (commuter tires) from Tire Rack $728.72 delivered. BTW RE730's would have cost $652.72. Peanut for future (track tire)reference what R compound tire did you select? Any idea how much better they might be than say the so called "near R compound" B.F. Goodrich T/A kd's. Thanks in advance.
