You might want to send ViperBob a PM...he was parting out a 993 that belonged to a Rennlister.

If someone finds that yard, I'd like to have a phone #. I'm looking for a cab top driver's side motor for something more reasonable than $200 that LAPD is looking to get.
If anyone knows of any of these motors for sale anywhere, let me know. I'm seriously considering machining some replacement gears for myself and others.

Gary
I assume you are aware of Robin's DIY fix for his stripped alternator shaft, but here it is if you're not.

Call a Porsche dealership and ask about their remanufactured alternators that come with a 2 year limited warranty. If you call around I guarantee you will find one for less money than you would spend on an unknown alternator from a parts breaker (with no warranty.)

I have had nothing but great experiences from Todd and Sara at LA Porsche so I feel compelled to defend them and their pricing. They have always stood behind everything I purchased and represented it extremely accurately in my dealings with them. No affiliation, yada yada except for being a very satisfied customer on some very very big ticket items. Another option for You may be Stuttgart house of parts out of Carolina, I believe the owner is Bill or Bob sorry I cant remember.

Auto Atlanta deals primarily in 914s, and I would strongly suggest you read any 914 board before considering doing business with them....

Gary, I think that you are looking for german auto dismantlers... Used to be PAP. I just happened to order a few parts from them yesterday for my 944 and had their contact info on hand. See phone and link below

Hope this helps.
