Guilty as charged...I split my time between LA and Hong Kong (mostly HK). And you know how hard it is not to have a 993 around so I keep a 98 993 cab in LA and a 94 993 cab in Hong Kong. Over the past year of so I've also been keeping an eye open for a TT....my name is David and I'm a Porsche-a-holic...

Mick

Please hurry

The one thing we do fast on HWFM Racing is go though money.

And there are already three races we've missed for our F-1 team.

David

That is highly unusual. We have team mates who are bi-coastal (and some who are bi otherwise), but none who have Porsches on more than one continent.

Tell us more.

I'll volunteer for a spanking right here and now.
As I was driving to the event early yesterday in my new HWFMR T-shirt (thans again, Mike!), my car died. AAA truck, borrow my brother's SUV to get to the event (993 is at the dealer having rust repaired), get there 2 hours late, organize the workers, run timing/controls, never see the course, hop into friend's stock car that, seemingly, can neither acclerate, brake, nor handle... drive.
So, why do I deserve spanking? It's twofold. First, the car died because my jack shorted out the battery in the trunk. Well' d'oh! Good thing it didn't catch fire. The other reason is that I think I took either second or third in class for the day. Very unturtle-like and unlike me in the beginning of the season. Obviously, I need stress before racing. Maybe after a good spanking I'll be even faster?

f I may...as the team's first mate and registar...
We still need your application... While having 2 P cars help, merit and devotion to the team's principals are required and never think that would can drive fast or anything!

We look forward to your application!

Good work, Danny

On top of the paperwork, as always.

David, we await your application.

Danny did you add Neil, Team PETA Representative, and Mick, Team Banker, to our official roster? (Or do you think we should hold on Mick til we get the check for $250,000,000?)

There is no shame in a podium, as long as you gain it in a very HWFM manner. And I'd say you excelled in that outing. (Also, the best part of our podiums is they tend to confound and consternate the competition --"I got beat by a turtle?")

i was told i should slow down since i have "too much skill and am able to attack the course to fast to learn the small details." Does that go down as an action requiring discipline?

Mike, Since my application is being reviewed (that is a role reversal) I am hesitant to ask just how the HWFM team proposes to pay back the loan Dan said I would make. But as the teams (potential) banker I think I need to be prudent. I understand the reason for the money is to establish the new HWFM F1 team but just how is the team going to pay the loan back. I of course initially thought about the F1 winnings but of course that is contrary to the HWFM racing name. Then I thought we could ask the other members to buy stock, but they want to spend their cash on their Porsches, so just how will this loan get repaid. Then I realized it was from the sale of the HWFM merchandice. So yes your check is in the mail. As Dan can attest, Springfield is a little behind the times so I had to send it by Pony Express rather than Federal Express.

Hey, excellent point. I didn't even think of it, but they did literally have to wait for me to show up to get the workers and timing going.
I would still like a spanking from JoAnn, though, regardless

Mike-

I nominate David to be Teutonic Asset Allocation Specialist. Yikes, that's quite a garage he has. 3 M cars and 2 Porsches seems pretty well diversified to me.

Can I even nominate people. Is that abuse of my crown prince-ship?

Heir Apparent

For maxumum performance, I would think he would want to weight his asset allocation towards Prosches rather than Bimmers. Good team function though.

Yes you can nominate people

David

You have an advantage in that my son is big into BMWs (each generation has to rebel against the preceding one)

Thank you for the confirmation Boss. I will add them to the roster however after the confirmation of receipt of the check
