But is the Techart bar approved by some/any of the governing bodies? I know that the DAS bar is "quoted" in the Porsche Owners Club regulations.

There is a trick to getting the most
hold from stock belts during a DE or
AutoX.
Pull the belt as though you are putting
it on. Stop about two inches before
the slot. Yank to lock. Then
twist the tongue two turns and snap
into slot.
The correct twist is not "around" the belt,
which would just put a twist above and below
the tongue.
If the tongue was perpendicular
the the face of a clock, the correct twist
is around the face which twists the lap and
shoulder portion together so there is no
movement through the tongue.

Another trick I have heard is;
Slide your seat a couple notches to the rear or, lay your seat back towards the rear slightly. Click your seat belt in and pull quickly to lock. Then, slide your seat forward or raise your seat back forward (depending which method you used). Thus the belt length was locked whilst the seat was back, as you bring the seat forward, the tension of the seat belt tightens up.
Worked for me. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
