While this is completely subjective, I think the best INTERIOR I've seen is Jeff Chan's TT - two tone blue and gray. The pictures above don't really show it, but IMHO it looks awesome on a silver car - very classy.

I vote arena red over grey. Arena red is a "burgundy" and seems to be one of the more rare colors. While I like the silver/black combo, it seems everyone else does too.

AS you can guess, I am partial to Speed Yellow. Don't worry, you get used to the stares after a little while.

Many people also know that my true first love is Riviera Blue. I have NEVER seen a car like this one before. This is not an advertisement for the dealer, just a link to the pic:

In all seriousness, this one has to be seen to be believed.

Here is the link to the whole page. I am not going to post another pic, but suffice to say that this car is Riviera Blue over Riviera Blue/Gray interior, with Riv. blue steering wheel (with yellow stiching), riv blue gauges and a whole lotta riv blue interior. It is a lot to see.

Have fun.

I'm yet another trespasser from the 964 board, but I think different colours loko good on different versions of the 993.

For example, I'd get an RS in either Speed Yellow or Riviera Blue.

The standard C2/C4 look good in Iris Blue, any Silver or even Metallic Black.

The wide 'S' bodies instead look great in dark Green, Arena Red and Ocean Blue.

As for interior, cashmere beige is very nice but I am not sure how well it ages. If you're going to keep the car for long then Black is probably the best choice.

Having said all of that, I don't like the silver/black combo as its too boring and common, very 90's.

Here's a picture of Seinfeld's RS in Riviera Blue:

It was taken at the Hillsborough Concours. I've also seen a 993 TT S in riveria blue and thought it was very nice.

IMO white with tan is one my favorite, My care is White with Classic Gray. In the South white is the only way to go.

But I like others have to say Silver is the best.

Interesting that Seinfelds car is a European car. Check out the yellow indicator ahead of the side mirror.

Arena Red over Grey, of course. The darker door and dash trim on the S models is really sharp.

Actually, a black interior is nice, and leather maintenance is much easier. I am trying to redye a scuff mark on the driver's seat, and it is a real PIA to match the grey color.

On my 85's black interior, I used some Auburn Leather company motorcycle saddlebag leather dye followed by a leather conditioner. You couldn't tell.

There are four colors on the 993 that I love,
Black is georgous,
Speed Yellow is a great color if it's not a daily driver (IMO)
White is great also (and you can even get a good deal on a white car because there not as easy to sell for some strange reason.)

My 993 is Artic Silver w/ Black interior (sport seats) and the aluminum gauge, brake, shifter upgrade. I love this color combo. You might also want to consider the factory aero kit.
Here are some pics to help you make a decision.

Since these pictures have been taken, I have added a front brake cooling kit and clear turn signals which you might want to look into as well.
Good luck with your decision..

Also.. Realize when you begin your hunt for the perfect C2S, you might have to sacrifice something, mileage, color, options, price.. etc..

So make a list of what's important to you and be prepared to make some compromises unless your on a long term search. Give yourself 3 months to a year to find your perfect 993. Pound, pound, pound the pavement. I called every dealership in 25+ states until I got lucky with mine.

I wonder if it is a real RS? I imagine he could afford to bring one (heck at least a dozen) over to the US.
That is a beautiful car.

I live in what feels like "Pollen Central" here on the left coast. Black is fine so long as one keeps the paintwork well waxed ( who doesn't? ), and I use one of those big fluffy mops to swipe off the car at end of day.
BTW, there's nothing wrong with a C4, in fact they are more rare than the C4S. So if you find a good one, grab it!

Hey Stever,

I'm sure others can add to this list but here are some other options you might want to look for.

18" turbo twist wheels. (Technology Hollow spoke)
Sport seats
M030 Suspension
Motorsound Package
Litronic Headlights
Limited Slip
Hi-Fi upgrade
Aero Kit
aluminum upgrade (dash, shifter, park brake)

good luck...

If that's Seinfeld's Turbo S, it should be non-metallic Turquoise blue which is slightly darker than Riviera and has a bit of a green hue. However, the car pictured above does look like Riviera.
