Nile, I usually run street psi at the 34/36 f/r cold. I see about a 2 psi increase when hot, so I am guessing my hot street psi is 36/38 f/r.

When I did the DE's, I did increase the pressure. I just don't remember what I set them to. Bozo me, I should keep better notes on this topic. I have been better about writing everything down since then.

Kim, totally makes sense. I think I only put 36/38lbs in at the DE. I know I didn't get into the 40's. (Cold)

What is a good cold psi for street? DE?

Say what? Mostly track miles? I would believe that if you were using your trailer for something other than being a large sculpture in your front yard...

Evan,

Sounds like you have been running pressures a little high...

I can't remember what I used for cold pressures when running street tires at a DE, but am pretty sure that hot pressures were slightly below factory spec of 36/42 (for 18") and I was getting 4-6 lbs increase from cold to hot. Today I run MPSCs and shoot for hot pressures of 34 all around which means I usually start at 27/28 cold.

I use 34/38 cold pressures in my SO3s for street driving instead of the recommended 36/42.

The ideal hot pressure will change with the tire you select and you should research that particular tire for the ideal pressures for best performance and also shop around with others running similar tires. You should also play with the track pressures to find what you like best.

Good luck and enjoy.
