Default no rear taillights

I have no rear taillights or 3rd lights on my 96 c4S. All of the fuses are fine, the turn lights all work, and the headlights works well. All the bulbs are fine.
Ideas? What am I missing?

Thank you

Michael

ould it be a loose harness plug under the rear window shelf cover or on the right side of the engine compartment right behind the right marker lamp housing?
Have you had any electrical work done lately or replaced any bulbs or put in LED lamps?

There is a plastic connector under the rear parcel shelf that goes to those lights from the wiring harness to the brake pedal, easy check for that connection. I recently had this issue after my rear window was replaced and that was the fix. Otherwise you will have to follow the electrical gremlin from the brake pedal back to the lights.

I had a situation one time where I had a taillight and front driver’s fog light go out. It turned out to be a corroded headlight switch. I cleaned out the switch with CRC cleaner (similar to DeoxIT) and that took care of the problem.

That may not be your problem, but you can add it to your troubleshooting list if nothing else works.
