Post Need Help Identifying Current Suspension

Well after deciding from all the feedback to go with the Euro M030 springs/HD shocks I decided to have a look at my existing suspension mainly to see how bad it looked to go DIY.

What really surprised me was that on the front shocks, there was an adjustable metal collar on the lower half of the shock tube with about two inches of threads. A circular spring perch was on the collar and positioned about mid-point. I couldn't find a number on the shock itself other than on the metal plate at the lower front where the two bolts go thru, 993.343.156.00. The springs are black with two green dots. There was a 1" white sticker on the shock body. I had no idea that the stock suspension had this adjustment?

On the rears, The springs have a bright yellow dot and the number L HH1 94 9 83318. Same white sticker on the shock.

Does this sound like the stock US suspension?

If I lower the fronts about 3/4" that the collar allows, would I need to get realigned?

Thanks.

The factory built in a little adjustment into the stock suspension to allow proper balancing of the car. This is normal. However the range is not intended for lowering, just balancing. In the rear there is no such adjustment - shims are inserted.
