Transmission mount insert
Has anyone used transmission mount insert like the one from Function first or PowerFlex? What is your opinion?
I am thinking of refreshing my motor mount with RS mount and am thinking replacing transmission mount with Rennline HD mount but then I saw this transmission insert and got my attention since then.
Also, if you have used one, is the installation easy?
Thanks!

Keep in mind the harder mounts can result in very real NVH issues.
I have a solid mount from FD Motorsports and at first the NVH at 3.5k RPM was a bit annoying. It seems to have broken in, because it’s not as prominent. I was going to change out to Function First, which I heard is better in that regard, but have since decided to keep the FDM.
RS mount wouldn’t have worked for me (RWD conversion), but that’s probably what I’d go with if I had a factory RWD.
Upside - shifts are very crisp and solid and power transfer is immediate. I also have solid subframe mounts and RS motor mounts, so that helps there too. Zero slop.

It’s truly not a big deal - just a minor bit of NVH at 3.5K that’s gone by 4K.

Thanks. I will give a try to function first then.
