guardsman red clearcoat?

I remember reading that the Porsche Guardsman Red did not have a clearcoat finish. Is this true?

Yep, guards red is one component paint and has no clear coat.

I think all the non metallic paints are one component but I'm not sure, all metallic paints naturally are two component.
