LED tail lights!!!
Hi Bobby,
This is so if you don't end up liking them you can't switch back to the originals and if you damage the new ones or they go hazy from UV exposure you will need to get replacements from them.
Good marketing strategy!

Just thinking about what "a lot more" would be:
--A built-in paintball rotary cannon to splat the car behind you if he is getting too close?
--A set of auto-release proximity crash spikes that impale the car behind you and protects your 993 from an impending rear-end collision. Could be nicely hidden behind the flip-down rear bumperettes.
--An auto-destruct explosive function to make sure if you sustain a serious rear-end impact your car is deemed totaled by the insurance adjuster so you are not stuck in a pissing contest with him as to if it can be repaired or worse yet stuck with a car that will never be the same.
Just some James Bondish ideas. Then again they all could be kitchen table DIY projects. Would need a little C4 or an old repurposed Claymore to do the auto-destruct.
Arnold has some ideas about other upgrades below.

Another alternative could be to use EL panel lighting in each light bay to supplement the LED bulbs and to evenly illuminate the blank lens bays that don't have bulbs (such as the center bar section). Done correctly, you could have a fully lit light bar across the entire the rear of the vehicle as a baseline, supplementing the bright LED bulbs.

If you just want LED functionality and are a DIY type:
I needed to replace my faded center rear light panel. I bought the Euro version with fog lamps, part number 993.631.130.00, currently $498 at Sunset Porsche Parts (~$50 more than USA version). https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...93-99363113000
I converted the wiring harness so the fog lamps became brake lamps and used LED bulbs for the whole car. Works like a charm. LED I think are most useful for the brake lamps since they turn on faster than an incandescent bulb.
Or just use Tore's conversion kit to make your unused fog lamps into brake lamps https://www.bergvillfx.com/products/...conversion-kit
And his LED kit for the rest (you may want to ask if the kit has LED for the fog lamps) https://www.bergvillfx.com/categorie...kits-and-lamps

They created a headlight as well. Not feeling it. https://7-lights.de/Scheinwerfer-Umb...4S-S-GT2-Turbo
I haven't gone LED tail lights on any vehicles yet because I really hate the early 2000s looks of seeing individual dots. I want something fiber side-lit so that it glows a nice consistent red like nicer modern cars. Gunther has the right idea with their tail lights.
I absolutely love this idea and always wondered why our cars didn't come from the factory with an illuminated center panel reflector. A while back I explored using LEDs or Electroluminescent sheet material to do this. They have all this stuff on eBay. Unfortunately, I was unable to come out with a workable solution at the time, this is not to say some other enterprising 993 enthusiasts couldn't engineer it.
