I don't get why it being a -4 matters unless you live in the Rockies and are putting snow tires on it.
The Carrera 4 is distinctly different than the 2. You don’t need to drive in snow to appreciate the difference. I’ve driven a 4 in AX and DE, and it has advantages and disadvantages over the 2. The 4 will pull you out of trouble when the 2 will merely exacerbate the problem. But the 2 can turn on a dime in the right hands. And the 4 in the rain is a huge advantage.
So lots of good reasons to want a 4, even if you live in Florida.
For sure. One could argue it's a better balanced car compared to the C2. The extra features like standard LSD, 4-channel ABS, and ABD make it appealing. I believe the brakes are upgraded over the 2 as well even on the non-S. I know my C4 has silver brakes compared to a C2 that has the black brakes. But that may also be a function of also having ABD, not sure. I know in the 993 generation it goes black > silver > red > yellow in terms of brakes going up the model line.
Thank you for the information and advice. I will put a WTB out there and see what comes up. Just wanted to ensure I wasn’t asking for something that didn’t exist.
