Default cockpit adjustable headlight question

i understand that some euro 993's have cockpit adjustable headlights.

i think it was required in some countries on non litronic cars.

i would like to see if i can add the motors and controler to my litronic headlights.

anyone have any experience w/any of these systems?

I think the only country where the beam height control is required is Germany. If you bring a car from another country to Germany they hand out a waiver as a standard procedure.

So, I think one way to go is to keep an eye on ebay.de, every now and then it is obvious that somebody is parting out and has a whole range of stuff for a 993. Ask that seller whether he has such a system for sale.

thanks for the info.

i would like to fill the recessed area next to the light switch where the controler for the positioning switch in meant to go.

so thought it would be best to add the adjustable light mechanism and the switch.

any more information on this subject will be appreciated

ordered the cockpit control switch today from dealer, and they can order the head light control motors also, but would like to know if any one has done this conversion first to know if i can use those motors in my litronics

Default German waiver?

A few years ago my friend Peter brought his US Jeep Cherokee back to Germany and they made him add the headlight motors at great expense.

For what it's worth, our Saab has the factory xenon lights with motors and its hard to see that they really do much, other than dip the headlights temporarily when the bulbs ignite. Is it worth the expense?
