Has anyone ever tried fitting a RUF CTR 2 Front Bumper onto a narrow body C2 993? Would appreciate knowing if its a straight swap or is there more to it?
Yeah, I've been looking for a solution to make the front end look a bit more aggressive, I think the RUF bumper will do the trick, I love the rear end of the 993 as is so will keep it stock, assuming it doesn't look mismatched.
For me, it would be mismatched because the rear would lack the vents on either side to match the front. I'd have to do both just for my OCD lol. Plus it will help get hot air from the exhaust out and reduce possible air pressure build-up behind the stock rear bumper cover.
A genuine one won't but I'm hoping I can find an aftermarket clone that will. I'm sure someone, somewhere makes one. Otherwise, I will have one modified I'm that serious about it lol.
I believe RUF is no longer making rear bumpers and only selling their stock of front bumpers. The rears were available in both widths. Not sure if Rstrada has stock or what the deal is but they haven't taken down this listing in the last two years since RUF themselves removed the rear bumpers from their online shop.
I just did a front and rear end conversion on my 993TT. Front bumpers are now all CF vice a fiberglass/kevlar mix and can be had for around $4-5K. Ruf no longer makes rear bumpers. RStrada had two sets available and I purchased one of them. I was told that Ruf might eventually start producing the rear bumpers in CF like the new front bumpers but who knows. Ruf used to make narrow body rear bumpers, they did a conversion to a Targa not too long ago. Below are some pics of the bumpers and how everything turned out. Of note, the bumpers take some work.
FYI I’ll be putting my RUF front bumper for sale in the next few weeks.

Has it been on your car? I think I'd prefer one that's been fitted. I think you mentioned it in the buy thread about my car I posted a few weeks ago. I'll have to go back and check.
I don’t think the cf front bumper is a real ruf bumper. I bought a set of front and rears from Lin last year and they were both white and arrived in ruf packaging.
