My experience has been the same the cheaper 911 seal which can be used on either door while it fits, is bigger and not the same as the 964/993 specific ones which are molded either for left/right application.

According to Pelican, these are a direct clone of the original factory part, has anyone purchased one?

That's per side and I agree very expensive. I called Pelican and that's what the CSR told me was in their notes. If it's a high-quality faithful copy of the original that allows my door to close correctly and there are no other options, then it's worth it to me since these are no longer cheap cars.

Less than what I paid for new from Porsche a few years back.

Just replaced my door sills and removed the original weather stripping. I can concur that the aftermarket ones I purchased from Pelican ($69 each side) do not fit as well. Door will not close all the way without more force. I hope it fits after some time with the door shut. It works, just not as well as the original.

Yup, I dry-installed the "OEM" door seal 911-531-095-03-M136 in my 97 C4S, and while it fits fine in the sill, the seal's too fat, and the door won't close. I guess there's no option but to get the $450 Hamburg-Technik version, allegedly an honest replacement of the 964/993 seal. I will give it a shot and report back.

The URO version $25 each fits perfect, door closes just like it always did!

Thanks, Tarek. I will give them a shot! Prefer the $25 bucks over $430.

The shipping from pelican has gotten crazy over the last few years, & most times, on smaller or less expensive parts, it's more than the cost of the part. There are better places to get parts. Ymmv.

They have a $100 threshold for "free" shipping. For some of the smaller Porsche factory stuff (plastic trim pieces, etc) I go straight to the dealer and skip the middleman, no shipping. Parts Geek has the weather stripping , similar price, with about $10 shipping.

the problem is the factory discontinued both the 993 & 964 seals. they only offer the older 911 seals that don’t fit properly.

I get it Anthony, I'm kicking myself for not getting them a couple of years back when they were still available. It was on my one of these days list. My comment was more directed at why get a OEM Porsche part from Pelican when you can go straight to the dealer. Also same part, cheaper shipping available elsewhere, regarding URO door seals.
