Default RSR Mufflers

Hi All,

Can someone tell me if there is a preferred vendor for the RSR Mufflers that I keep reading about?.

Thanks

Neil,
You can buy the mufflers directly from Robin through his excellent 993 website "p-car.com". I have a set myself and love them. I don't believe that there is another domestic source for the RSR's.

My understanding is that Robin is on "hiatus' from modifying Porsche Mufflers. His wife passed away unexpectedly a few months ago and he is taking some personal time.

Gert@carnewal.com sells them as well....but we are hearing there is 12 week back log ?? www.carnewal.com

They are, indeed, an awesome muffler setup !!! If and when you can get your hands on them....you will not be disappointed.

They are, and it is.

Edit: These are Gillet cores, BTW.

Gert can probably do your mufflers in a week or so if you get a pair to him, it's the waiting for returns that is causing him delays.

FYI: I just received my RSR mufflers from Robin, which I asked for in early Feb. No complaints.

Steve, I thought Bischoffs are the squared ones and Gilette are rounded. Or am I confusing the two?
While on the subject, are wide tips different for Gilette and Bischoff? Would I be able to reuse my oval narrow tips if I decided to do so?

Mike, John's and mine were /are Bischoffs. I think it was a 1995 thing. The D or as you say "square" shaped seemed to be on newer cars like the polar silver one we inspected. I believe the hardware is a bit different so tips might be an issue as well as installation. I sure Robin knows this stuff cold. Hopefully he or someone else will weigh in.

I heard Keith's this weekend and I really like the raspy sound. I'm wondering which ones he has.?? I have the Bischoffs.

Mike...

Mike..

I have the Gillettes.....the hardware (coupler and piping shape) are different than on the Bischoffs.

With that said, I can't imagine the sound of either muffler is any different after Robin has worked on them.
